Regular Move-In Appointments and Personal Early Arrival requests will be available online in the My91¶ÌÊÓƵHousing portal on June 10 at 9:00 AM CST.

Moving in to your residence hall room an exciting time for new students. To help make your transition to college life as smooth as possible, move in information is posted here. Don’t forget to check your JagMail frequently so you don’t miss important emails. We're looking forward to seeing you on campus! 
 
â–¼   May Housing Eligibility

Dates: Monday, May 12-Monday, June 2, 2025

  • May semester housing is only available to current Spring semester residents.

  • To be eligible for May semester housing, a student must be:
    • Enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour for a May semester course
      OR
    • Preregistered for at least one (1) credit hour for a Full Summer or Summer I course AND have completed both the May Semester and Full Summer housing applications.
  • Current Spring residents may remain in their Spring 2025 room assignment (pending room availability due to summer facilities projects/work). If your current room assignment is unavailable for the May semester, you will be required to move to a different room. The 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Housing Office will contact you regarding room availability.

NOTE: Residents currently living in the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Housing Central House on Stadium Community and Gamma 0-4 will not be able to remain in their current assignment for the May semester.

â–¼   Full Summer & June Only* Semester Housing Eligibility

Dates: Tuesday, June 3-Saturday, August 2, 2025
*June Only: Tuesday, June 3-Tuesday, July 1, 2025

  • Full Summer semester housing is available to all 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour for a Full Summer or a Summer I course.

  • *Students planning to live on campus for Summer I only should complete the Full Summer housing application on the My91¶ÌÊÓƵHousing portal.

    *Students planning to live on campus for Summer I and only enroll for a Summer I course may still remain in their residence hall room for the month of July if in good academic and financial standing. However, the student may also request a contract cancellation at the end of the Summer I term and must vacate before the first day of the Summer II term to receive back a prorated housing and dining refund. Note that if the student chooses to cancel their Summer semester housing contract and then enrolls in a Summer II course (including an online course), the Full Summer housing contract and associated charges will be readded to the student's account. The contract cancellation fee will be waived if the student does not enroll in Summer II courses and vacates
â–¼   Summer II Semester Housing Eligibility

Dates: Wednesday, July 2-​Saturday, August 2, 2025*

  • Summer II Only semester housing is available to all 91¶ÌÊÓƵ students enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour for a Summer II semester course.

  • Students planning to live on campus for Summer II should complete the Summer II Only housing application on the My91¶ÌÊÓƵHousing portal.

  • Students living on campus for Summer II are required to move out by the end of the Summer semester. Students also residing on campus for the upcoming Fall semester will be provided the option to move directly to their Fall housing room assignment at the end of the Summer semester. Students who decline to move to their Fall housing room assignment at the end of the Summer semester will be required to completely vacate their Summer housing room assignment.

  • No extensions for summer housing will be offered for students transitioning to off-campus housing or off-campus apartment leases.

  • Students who wish to move to their Fall housing room assignment at the end of the Summer semester must either have their Fall account balance paid in full, have enough pending aid to cover all charges in full, or be enrolled in the University Payment Plan for the fall semester to receive their Fall housing room key. Any student who does not meet this criteria will be required to vacate their Summer housing room assignment at the end of the Summer semester.

*Students taking a Summer II course are eligible to complete the full summer housing application and arrive in June if they are pre-registered for a Summer II academic course. If the student unenrolls prior to the course beginning, they will be required to vacate within 48 hours after course withdrawal and will be assessed a prorated housing and dining charge based on date of vacate. The contract cancellation fee will apply. If a student re-enrolls, the full cost of housing and dining will be added back.

  • Students living on campus for either the Full Summer or Summer I  semesters who also have a completed Academic Year housing application and room assignment are permitted to participate in Summer Transition Day on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

  • Students who wish to move to their Fall housing room assignment at the end of the Summer semester must either have their Fall account balance paid in full, have enough pending aid to cover all charges in full, or be enrolled in the University Payment Plan for the fall semester to receive their Fall housing room key. Any student who does not meet this criteria will be required to vacate their Summer housing room assignment at the end of the Summer semester.

â–¼   91¶ÌÊÓƵ Student - Summer Employment with 91¶ÌÊÓƵ - Housing Eligibility
  • Students participating in summer employment with a 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Office or Department are eligible to live on campus during the May and Summer semesters.

  • ​To be eligible the student must meet the following criteria as a student at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ:
    • ​Be in good academic standing.
    • ​Be in good financial standing.
    • Be in good conduct standing.
    • ​Submit a letter of sponsorship from 91¶ÌÊÓƵ department/employee on letterhead explaining the need for the student to be on campus.​

  • The student or sponsoring organization will be responsible for the full cost of housing and dining or getting on the University Payment Plan before getting room key.

  • The student will be held to the housing contract term dates regardless of employment position with 91¶ÌÊÓƵ. If your employment ends or you are terminated from employment, the student must notify 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Housing within 24 hours. Termination or resignation from employment does not release the student from housing and dining charges.

*Employment with an off-campus entity does not meet the criteria for housing without enrollment

â–¼   91¶ÌÊÓƵ Student - Participating in No Credit Hour Internship or Research Project - Housing Eligibility 
  • Students participating in summer internships for no credit hours or in research projects are eligible to live on campus during the May and Summer semesters.

  • To be eligible the student must meet the following criteria:
    • Be in good academic standing, not currently holding an academic probation or suspension status.
    • Be in good financial standing with no prior term balance due having paid the summer balance in full, or enrolled in the University payment plan prior to getting their key for the summer term.
    • Be in good conduct standing, not currently holding a status of conduct probation or suspension.
    • ​Submit a letter of sponsorship from 91¶ÌÊÓƵ department, advisor, or administrator on letterhead explaining the need for the student to be on campus.​

  • ​Note that an internship, research project, or athletic training must be sponsored by a 91¶ÌÊÓƵ department/entity. This does not apply to off-campus employment or internship opportunities not sponsored through 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.
â–¼   Non-91¶ÌÊÓƵ Student - Summer Internship - Housing Eligibility 
  • Individuals who are coming to Mobile for a summer internship sponsored by another institution can be eligible for short-term guest housing if a corresponding 91¶ÌÊÓƵ department or advisor serves as a reference.

  • Student will need to submit a letter of sponsorship from a 91¶ÌÊÓƵ department/employee on letterhead explaining the need for the student to be on campus.

  • ​Complete a short-term guest lease through the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Housing Department.

  • If your employment ends or you are terminated, you must notify 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Housing within 24 hours. Charges will be assessed based on vacate date. The contract cancellation fee will not apply.
