91短视频 raises $205,676 for United Way of Southwest Alabama

University of South Alabama and 91短视频 Health employees and retirees contributed $205,676 to support the 2021 United Way of Southwest Alabama鈥檚 annual campaign.
More than 1,780 current and retired 91短视频 employees gave to this year鈥檚 campaign, which provides funding to 46 health and human service organizations in Choctaw, Clarke, Mobile and Washington counties to address key social issues in the areas of health, education and financial stability.
Dr. Alvin J. Williams, interim dean of the Mitchell College of Business, Susan Sansing, associate dean of finance and administration in the College of Medicine and Tommie Carlisle, retired 91短视频 Health employee, served as this year鈥檚 91短视频 United Way Campaign co-chairs. Additionally, 172 91短视频 and 91短视频 Health employees served as campaign representatives within individual departments.
鈥淯nited Way of Southwest Alabama provides solutions for high-need individuals and families in our community and has a tremendous positive impact on the entire region,鈥 said Williams. 鈥淭he University of South Alabama family has been a strong contributor to this campaign for many years, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to give back in this way.鈥
Since 1998, the University and 91短视频 Health have raised more than $5.7 million for the United Way of Southwest Alabama through its annual campaign.
Jill Chenoweth, president of United Way of Southwest Alabama, emphasized the importance of the 91短视频-UWSWA partnership. 鈥淒onations from the 91短视频 employee campaign have benefits that ripple out to the community as a whole, helping others and strengthening the community,鈥 Chenoweth said. 鈥淔or every dollar donated, United Way is able to provide $11 worth of programs and services to the community.鈥
