The University of South Alabama’s Holiday Concert with the theme, “Jaguar Jingle All the Way,” will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at the 91Ƶ Mitchell Center. This event is free and open to the public.

The University of South Alabama will host its annual Holiday Concert on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at the 91Ƶ Mitchell Center. This year’s theme is “Jaguar Jingle All the Way.” The concert is free and open to the public. 

“The Holiday Concert is a wonderful way to showcase the excellent students who participate in so many facets of the music program here at the University,” said Dr. Laura Moore, associate professor and department of music chair. “As part of the theme, a handbell choir will perform on the Mitchell Center concourse as guests make their way into the arena.”

The concert will include performances from the entire University music department including, the Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, Opera Theatre, University Chorale, Percussion Ensemble, Trombone Choir, Celtic Crúe, Clarinet Ensemble, Lavender Brass Quintet, Piano Duo, Jazz Band, Tuba Euphonium Ensemble and Jaguar Marching Band.

“You will hear an incredible variety and styles of holiday music including, Winter Wonderland, I Saw Three Ships, Twas the Night Before Christmas, and of course, Jingle Bells,” said Dr. Thomas Rowell, professor of music.

Free parking is available in the following lots: Mitchell Center (401), Engineering (501 & 502), Humanities (607), and Gamma (303). Handicapped parking will be available in the Mitchell Center parking lot. The JagTran will be providing round-trip transportation from these parking lots to the Mitchell Center before and after the concert.
